Hanson Group attends 40th International Symposium on Combustion

Researchers presented at the Combustion Institute's 40th International Symposium on Combustion.

Four Hanson Group researchers presented their work at the Combustion Institute's 40th International Symposium on Combustion. Three papers and one poster were featured during the event.

PhD candidate Pujan Biswas presented research on sustainable gasoline additives and their effects on the low-temperature reactivity of n-heptane. PhD candidate Vivek Boddapati discussed the impact of molecular structure on stable intermediate formation during monoalkylated cyclohexane pyrolysis. Research scientist Sean Clees demonstrated simultaneous OH and OH* measurements during NH₃ oxidation in a shock tube. PhD candidate Josh Vandervort presented a poster on laser absorption sensors for crank-angle resolved temperature and species measurements in high-performance engine flows.

Congratulations to the Hanson Group attendees (from left to right): Sean Clees, Josh Vandervort, Vivek Boddapati, Professor Hanson, and Pujan Biswas.
