Hanson Group attends 2025 AIAA SciTech Conference
Researchers presented six aerospace-related papers at the annual American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Science and Technology conference.
Hanson Group researchers presented six papers at the annual American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Science and Technology (AIAA SciTech) conference in Orlando, Florida. These contributions highlighted innovative diagnostic techniques and advanced sensor technologies.
- Paper 1: Demonstrated simultaneous measurements of temperature, pressure, and velocity in high-enthalpy air environments.
- Paper 2: Introduced a pathlength-amplified tunable diode laser absorption diagnostic for carbon monoxide (CO) absorption features.
- Paper 3: Presented simultaneous, pathlength-amplified laser absorption measurements of excited air species in a shock tube.
- Paper 4: Showcased results from atomic resonance absorption spectroscopy (ARAS) experiments, measuring low-lying excited states of atomic nitrogen in shock tube experiments.
- Paper 5: Deployed a suite of laser-based sensors to instrument hypervelocity gas flows in the T5 Free-Piston Reflected Shock Tunnel.
- Paper 6: Designed a laser absorption-based sensor for spatially restricted measurements of supersonic flow temperature and velocity in ground-test impulse facilities.
Congratulations to the Hanson Group attendees for their exceptional contributions: Josh Vandervort, Dr. Jesse Streicher, Zev Granowitz, Devin Merrell, and Tal Schwartz!
