11.15.07 Updated versions of the Fundamental Kinetics Database are now available: Volume #1; Volume #2; Supporting files for Volume #2.

10.10.07 Volume #2 of the Fundamental Kinetics Database is now available. (Volume #1 is found here.) This two-volume work covers important concepts of chemical kinetics, the shock tubes that are used to generate the database, as well as the database itself.

09.25.07 The Kay Bradley Award was awarded to Dr. David Davidson. Recipients of this award are nominated by students from across the School of Engineering. Eligibility is based on the staff member's ability to incite enthusiasm in students, while maintaining high levels of "professionalism, friendliness, integrity and devotion". Congratulations Dave! The entire Hanson group is proud to have you as a member.

07.07.06 The Bernard Lewis Fellowship was awarded to Tonghun Lee. This award was established to encourage high quality research in combustion by young scientists and engineers. Congratulations Tonghun!

01.16.06 NOW AVAILABLE - the first volume of the Stanford "Fundamental Kinetics Database Utilizing Shock Tube Measurements". "Volume 1: Ignition Delay Time Measurements" summarizes shock tube ignition delay time measurements performed at Stanford University in the laboratories of Professor R. K. Hanson and Dr. D. F. Davidson. Two other volumes are in preparation: "Volume 2: Concentration Time History Measurements"; and "Volume 3: Reaction Rate Coefficient Measurements".
